"How to develop effective answers that can be applied immediately"

This one-to-one course is addressed to advanced students interested in improving their managerial communication skills.

Through role plays in class the student and the teacher will cope with several situation that may happen in the workplace or in business transactions.

We will also deal with advanced grammar problems incidentally.

The course is completed with the study of commercial letters, résumé creation, job interviews and outlines about personal motivation in the work-place.

* Arrivare al prezzo giusto

Un produttore voleva aumentare ad un cliente il prezzo dei suoi prodotti da 2 euro a 2,50 ciascuno. Così mandò a chiamare quel cliente, che avrebbe avuto difficoltà a reperire il pro-dotto altrove, e lo avvertì che a causa dei crescenti costi di produzione e delle materie prime, il nuovo prezzo sarebbe stato di 3 euro. Il cliente fu seccato ed indignato ed ebbe luogo una considerevole discussione dopo la quale il produttore acconsentì a "ridurre" il Prezzo (che non era stato mai veramente applicato) a 2,50 euro, il livello che intendeva raggiungere in origine.

This course is addressed to advanced students who, for personal or scholastic reason, wish to deepen their knowledge of Italian Literature through some of its most representative works.

After an introduction to the historical and literary background of the work in question the lessons will deal with its plot and focus on some of its most meaningful passages. The latter ones will be analyzed from the point of view of the contents as well as of the vocabulary and, when needed, of grammar.

The course is completed by outlines on the major tendencies of literary criticism and by free discussions in which students can express their own critical opinion.

Students who wish to can also write brief texts, that will be revised by the teacher, that can provide a starting point for papers and theses.

Besides the titles offered by our school it is also possible to have personalized courses on works chosen by the students themselves. The title, of course, must be communicated early.
